Eu acredito que matematicamente seja possível de provar que para investimentos longos globais o risco câmbio tenda para zero. Visto que quando há alteração no valor do câmbio isso acaba-se por se reflectir nas cotadas.
Ainda assim, eu durmo mais descansado (isto é algo psicológico) se tiver as cotações em EURs, daí ter tentado replicar o portfolio do Harry Browne com ETFs cotados em EUR. Eu não aceito bem a ideia de poder haver uma variação brusca como a que aconteceu com o CHF/EUR.
No portfolio dele, os ETFs pertenciam à região geográfica dos U.S., excepto o de ouro que é global. No meu portfolio, decidi tentar ter mais exposição global nas acções. Nas obrigações foquei-me na zona Euro uma vez que não consegui encontrar nenhuns ETFs com as características que pretendia e que fossem globais. O ETF que foi sugerido pelo Kim Jong Boom e novamente referenciado pelo Automek terá, no todo, características de obrigações de médio prazo (espero não estar a dizer nada de errado aqui) e acho que não é bem isso que se pretende com o portfolio do Harry Browne. Nota que, este género de ETF (obrigações agregadas de curto, médio e longo prazo) também existe no U.S. e ainda assim a estratégia usada por ele não foi essa.

Obrigações curto: LYXOR UCITS ETF EUROMTS 1-3Y INVESTMENT GRADE DR
Ouro: ETFS Physical Gold
Confesso que a exposição às bonds apenas da zona Euro, e apesar de serem de "boa qualidade", não me deixa completamente satisfeito, mas como não encontro melhor, contento-me com estes ETFs por agora.
