quanto às dimensões dos fenómenos, só estudando. as multas aos banksters conhecemos nós. o mal que fizeram vale talvez 10 a cem vezes mais.
o fenómeno que está a ser criticado não são as pensões nem os ordenados da função pública na américa.
são as prestações sociais de desemprego, food stamps etc.

o abuso destas prestações - que é o que está a ser discutido - e não as prestações em si, seria como disse há pouco, coberto por uma ou duas multecas e nem sequer das piores.

Neste tópico fala-se disso (desses apoios), mas o fenómeno que citei não falava apenas deste tópico.
A resolução bancária apoiada por liberais é tipicamente a mesma quer estejamos a falar de EUA, Europa, Portugal, etc. De resto, é a resolução típica aplicada pela FDIC desde há muitos anos.
Sobre os custos dos banksters, é difícil estimá-los -- a crise que ocorreu é função do destruir de um nível económico insustentável provocado pela tomada de dívida, não cai necessariamente muito abaixo de um nível do qual nunca teria saído, sem essa tomada de dívida. Pareces assumir que o buraco provocado pelos banksters é toda a distância do topo ao fundo, mas isso apenas significa que ainda não compreendeste o que ocorreu.

Uma outra coisa que talvez não seja muito clara: por vezes não interessa se são peanuts ou não. Por essa perspectiva o dinheiro estoirado em filmes sem público em Portugal era, claramente, peanuts.
Estas discussões ocorrem devido a princípios, não necessariamente devido à dimensão e relevância daquilo que se discute. O princípio violado aqui na questão dos apoios é a possibilidade de alguém com base em apoios obter um nível de vida superior a alguém que trabalha para os outros para se sustentar, e paga impostos por isso, e perde o seu tempo por isso, e tem custos por isso.
